Motorcycle Law Scotland provides specialist legal services to any member of the Royal British Legion Scotland who has been injured in a motorcycling road traffic collision. This is a relationship based on trust which has been developed over the past 8 years. During that time, MLS motorcycling solicitors have helped many veterans get their lives back following what can sometimes be a very stressful and difficult time for them.
It was therefore a pleasure for Senior Partner, Brenda Mitchell and Marketing Director, Rod Mitchell to join District 3 for their monthly breakfast meet in Perth and present the charity with a cheque on behalf of injured motorcyclist and veteran, John Willans.
John was knocked off his motorcycle in 2017 when a bus suddenly cut right across his path at a junction in Perth.
John suffered devastating injuries to his right leg which subsequently required two surgeries and skin grafts. The injuries were such that he very nearly lost his leg and had to endure a long stay in hospital.
Motorcycle Law Scotland was able to achieve a settlement approximately five weeks before a final Court Hearing was allocated. Although a financial settlement is an important part of the job in assisting their injured clients, the team at MLS was so pleased to be able to assist John with his overall recovery and are extremely proud of his most recent sporting achievements. The financial award will enable John to make choices in life regarding his future and is compensation for his injuries and loss of career.
John had this to say:
"Motorcycle Law Scotland is a friendly, helpful, family company. From the first contact I had with them, all the way through my case and after the case was settled, all the staff were friendly and helpful in all matters and always quick to reply to any questions or queries i had. i would definitely recommend Motorcycle Law Scotland to anyone that is needing representation with a legal matter."
