Smith v Harris (1939)
Five motorcyclists were engaged in a treasure hunt. One acted as the lead rider, riding at 25 - 30 mph. The others followed with about 8 yards between each of them.
The lead motorcyclist overshot a turning and braked hard. Two following riders attempted to avoid a collision and lost control. A third motorcyclist tried to avoid the motorcycles but ran into the second motorcycle and his pillion was injured.
